Swap Meet was brilliant. About 60 cars attended the meet and it was a bright sunny day. I was terrified with the snow falling the week and a half before but it all cleared up nicely. Check out some of the photos taken by some people enjoying the meet.

Bad and Good news (don't worry it's all still on)

Bad News:
The Coffee Machine Van won't be able to make it to the Swap Meet due to a leg injury of the owner.

Good News:
Cafe/Restaurant/Hotel The Rocks are kind enough to open up the beer garden (which can be accessed from Winterfield Park) for anyone wanting to get a drink, coffee or a nice lunch. But they did let me know that, if you want to get a lunch, they're always busy on Sunday.

I know the weather forecast for Sunday is looking good.

Sunny intervals and 15 celcius but it's still Scotland, so you never know!

And remember this is a No-Budget event so there will be no big tents or whatever to shelter from any rain that might fall (surely not here in Scotland!)
So if you have a camper don't forget to bring you're Awning just in case!

Also note that there are no toilet facilities at the event, there is however a public toilet near the Swimming Pool which is about a 6 minute walk. Sorry for any inconvenience, but like I said the budget for this event is £0,00 :)

-Once parked please switch of engine only to start again when leaving the event.
-No revving of engines.
-No loud music.
-Please use garbage bag provided and take back home to dispose of.

Really looking forward to it.
Had a look again on Tuesday and there is plenty of space to park visitor cars as well!!

Now all I need is the correct key to get on the site!!!!!!

Change of policy: People wanting to sell VW car parts but are not able to come in a VW/VAG car ARE ALLOWED to park at the venue but won't compete in the show n shine competitions.Can't expect everyone to have finished their project before So-Caley Swap Meet, although I know you'll all be doing your best :)

Had some questions about the Show n Shine, well I should have explained more.

You automatically enter the Show n Shine competition when you show up with your Volkswagen/Vag. There's no entry fee or anything. "Competent" judges will have a walk around during the swap meet and later on the day the trophies (see T-shirt design below) will be handed out to the Best Water-Cooled, Best Air-Cooled and the Show no Shine aka Better Ratter.
It's all for a bit of a laugh and I hope you all will enjoy it.

Busy busy busy

Well busy looking for a location, got a few really nice ones in my head, lets hope one of them likes my idea as well.

I hope to set it to 2 May 2010 as it is a Bank Holiday weekend so people can come over on the Saturday, spend the night at one of the lovely camp sites nearby and enjoy the Swapmeet on the Sunday, for which I plan to do a nice Cruise to the location as well.

Will keep you all up to date!
